I am really confused about the Siemens 6ES75070RA000AB0 It looks like a AC/DC on its data sheet and it does specify the AC voltage but it does not specify the output voltage. We need 24 V for the PLC and Modules. What I am confused on is all there datasheets of all there power supply only have one voltage. What is with that? I need the input and the output. TIA portal is not flagging errors and device is falling with in the power budget. What am I getting wrong on this.

Certainly the DC output voltage and current capability should be listed in the specifications section of the datasheets. BUT it must be that there is a family of supplies, all the same wattage rating but with different voltages. In that case the data will be another page. UNLESS it is an amazon listing, where there is insufficient information all the time.

I have only had one run-in with a Siemens PLC system, which was quite enough to steer me away from them totally. It was totally different in many aspects, and adequate information seemed to be very much a "Top Secret" classification, unavailable to me.

In most PLC systems the integral power supply voltages are provided to the modules thru the back-plane and not even accessible. But if the supply also has terminals then it should also have the load capability displayed. But if the supply is intended to only provide operating power for the attached processor and I/O modules that is a different case. So the power supply information may be buried within the PLC systems literature. It might include only a reference to how many of what modules it can support.

The bad news is that based on the quality and completeness of their documentation, I have avoided all Siemens products totally, since other brands are available and do not keep their information a secret.
So if you need a 24 volt DC supply for other portions of the system, there are many other brands that will provide detailed information about their products capabilities and qualifications.

My problem is that I am in process of purchasing one. Why does Siemens not put in there documentation? It is allot of money to buy then test.

Now your problem is clear, and I understand the serious challenge.
My suggestion at this point is to decide which I/O modules your application will require and then contact an Siemens sales engineer and get some assistance with selecting an adequate power supply
. There may actually be information somewhere within the PLC listings that can be useful in determining which supply you need for your application. If there is a watts requirement for each module, then you can add up the watts for the total system and possibly that will allow selection of the adequate power supply.

If you are not locked in to Siemens for the PLC, other suppliers will probably be easier to deal with.
