Shot In the Back

So what's with the person in the light colored clothes that gets out goes behind the vehicle lays down then flops around for a bit then gets back up and runs back to the side of the vehicle?

It reminds me of when I was a kid when one of my brothers temper tantrums would go wrong not getting him the attention he wanted. Run around drop down flop like a fish having a fit. Oops. No one cares so get back up and act like nothing happened.
That caught my eye, too. I'm guessing that that was her son (I think it was a male) who probably either got injured or, more likely, was just panicked and hyperventilating and so feinted and was in la-la land for a bit. I noticed that after the cops got there the gal went over and hugged him for a bit and then she got all hot again and started interfering with the cops. Was it then that she realized that her son hadn't just been idly standing by? Don't know. I did notice that the cars going the other way didn't seem to give a rip about some kid lying on the ground and not being attended to. On the other hand, they didn't all stop in the middle of the road so that they could gawk at the action.

...were off to the right side of the car, especially when you consider the grooves in the hood.

Do we know what the story on this car is? I notice that it is missing the windshield wipers (have no idea what that means). Is it possible that this car was being used for target practice at a range? I know (some) military snipers get specific training at shooting through window class (both buildings and cars) because of the effect it can have on bullet trajectory, particularly at high deflection angles (which would seem to jive with the offset of the bullet holes if the driver was the target).

That may be the car where one officer got onto the hood, and unloaded several clips point blank, at two bad guys who were already stopped?

Another case of murder.

Here is what the County Sheriff, a few counties east of me, had to say in his defense of MRAPs, night vision, and machine guns:::

http://www.copblock.org/57965/polic...tion-to-make-accounts-on-porn-sites-and-more/

This whackjob, says Pulaski County is a "War Zone.....

Way too many younger cops, think the same way.

WE, are their enemies.

""As the Department of Defense continues to flood America’s local police departments with military equipment, some cops are letting the propaganda and the free toys go to their heads. One sheriff in Indiana let out a disturbing admission that he views America as a battlefield — making it imperative, in his opinion, to equip his deputies with gear fresh out of the hands of U.S. soldiers fighting overseas.""

Another one::

Another case of murder.
Manslaughter charge on a poorly trained cop in a group of poorly trained cops with poor gun control. Look at the Texas 'ISIS' event for how you handle a real threat in a very professional way. I'm very pro-cop but some ex-military vets get sloppy with poor fire discipline, revert to basic instincts under fire and are giving street cops a bad name.

I see a lot of "spray and pray" gun control with the two photographs posted.

The one police officer that was wounded was a school district police officer.

I found out yesterday, the two terrorists were wearing body armor, so that officer's gun control was a lot better than I originally thought. That leads me to believe the two gunmen were "spraying and praying".

I have never had any police or combat training. But my favorite plinker, the sks, is a very serious weapon. I would not like having only a car as cover.

I can not find many details of the firefight. What did all the damage to the car?

What was the firing distance?

It's very hard to believe these two were trained.

I got a 'real' Russian SKS (1950s TULA) , fully dressed with steel core ammo a car door is paper for it. Bonnie and Clyde embarrassed the cops in Texas and Louisiana , not a nice thing to do if you have a nice poster with your face on it, so they learned them a lesson that the two guys in the Cleveland car didn't need.

You may be referring to 2 different incidents; one happened in Texas involving Suspect Terrorist and the other was in Ohio.

In Texas 2 terrorist each recieved a single shot to the head by a very accurate shooter. The other was in Ohio a traffic stop and a Man and Women evaded police; the black car with all the bullet holes is some crazed cop standing literally on the hood and shoots the couple with multiple bullets from what I read they had already been stopped when the officer went nuts.

" It was believed that shots were fired as the couple sped past the police station and the Car backfired" " It was then reported as shots fired and all officers in pursuit believed the couple was armed"

Sorry, I was referring to Texas. I didn't notice any bullet holes.
But it looked like the car had been ripped apart.

Some good news for Baco the K-9.

http://www.kptv.com/story/29010283/salem-police-k-9-returns-to-work-after-being-shot
SALEM, OR (KPTV) -
Baco, the Salem police K-9 shot during a confrontation with a suspect on April 24, returned to work Thursday.

The bullet missed the German Shepherd's eye and hit his cheek.

The shooting is not expected to have any lasting effects on his health.
Another K-9 taking a bite out of crime.

Karen Pangburn told deputies that her daughter, Olsson, pointed a shotgun at her, taped her to a chair and hit her in the back of the head with the shotgun. Olsson then stole her mother's cellphone, car and $1,000 in cash, deputies said.
Criminal 'Meth Head' dope fiends will do anything.

http://www.kptv.com/story/29021995/...tent-mother-arrested-and-found-with-meth-pipe
The responding police officers found a two-year-old alone in a tent in the back yard of the home, shivering and cold to the touch with a soiled diaper. The child was wearing only thin pajamas and wasn't covered by any blankets. The outdoor temperature at the time was about 45 degrees.....
Police said they found the child's mother, Taylor Marcus, also known as Taylor Kuhn, sleeping in a car parked on the street with a meth pipe in her possession.

Here is another reason why adults, should never create an all inclusive/exclusive "Hero" bracket, for any type of group.

My Heroes, do not come cheap.::

Shoot her 7 times, and then make up more lies.

"..an investigation by the Circuit Attorney and the department’s new “Force Investigative Unit” to determine whether the shooting was justified. Both officers involved in the shooting are now on a paid vacation."

The family concedes that the situation was tense and confusing, but believe police were too quick to shoot. Rebecca Morgan said the initial police account only added to the family’s pain.
I don't think they are heroes, just imperfect beings with the crappy job of stopping imperfect beings from acting like children with deadly weapons.

This happened in the San Francisco area:

http://www.theburningplatform.com/2014/08/15/police-kill-woman-holding-a-cordless-drill/

The police investigator claimed "The drill was painted to 'look like" an Uzi" and that justified the cop fatally shooting a woman.

However, the cordless drill in the picture was not painted to look like anything but a cordless drill. That's the natural black plastic finish it came with from the manufacturer and it looks like the just the label came off.

Sounds like someone in the police department was doing some creative writing to justify the predetermined outcome of the case.

And the piece identified as an UZI is a .223 bullpup mid sized rifle. It is nearly 3 times longer than a UZI, has a vertical front grip, and a 16" barrel (UZI is 5 or 6") Somebody really dropped the ball on this. So if they got the wrong UZI picture, why wouldn't the drill picture be wrong as well..
Oh, and I didn't read the article, if the pictures are wrong the facts are certainly questionable...
