How to define timer2 to give exactly 10 ms?

As you saw in the data sheet, there are various ways to control Timer2. What's your plan?

 

Its difficult to help you without knowing what your clock frequency is or what you want the timer to do and why.

About all I can advise is read the data sheet and go to http://pictimer.picbingo.com/download/index.php and grab a copy of the PIC Timer Calculator. It's free and it is an excellent program for working out PIC timer settings.
