Hi.
It may be matter of preferences too; but in what order would you process the audio chain, and most important, why is that your rationale ?

My audio equipment rack got all dismantled to replace some items, evict spiders and dust. Unsure remembering the sequence I had the processing order for a couple of items. How would you or how must be ?
I have
- Parametric equalizer;
- Expander enhancement processor.
- Spectral enhancer
- Compressor - limiter
- Subharmonic synthesizer
- Compressor gate
- Adaptive enhancer
- Plain stereo receiver amplifier.
- Sources are CD; Minidisc.

There are two big considerations for audio system sequencing. The first is noise contribution, the second is signal amplitude versus overload distortion. The functions that contribute the most noise and unwanted signals should be at the last of the string so that their additions do not get amplified, Also expanders, usually should usually be Ahead of blocks that need a wide dynamic range input.
