Hello, I'm new to electronics and we were asked to make a Binary and Hexadecimal Count Sequence using 7448 and 7493. I tried simulating it on Tinkercad and it worked. However, upon making a prototype, nothing lit up except for the 7-segment decoder. Here is a pic of my circuit.1725123783775.png

A pic in which there is no way to follow the mish mash of leads to even see how it is connected to the two ICs, let alone what the ICs are.

How about supply the schematic that you are at least trying to wire up?

As convenient as those Dupont jumper wires are, I try not to use them.
I am sure that this is not the one and only time that you will be testing a circuit on a breadboard. You will soon learn that it makes it difficult to locate wiring errors.

Instead, use short hookup wire and create a sensible colour code.
Here is an example of a very complex test circuit on a breadboard neatly laid out.
