Hello everyone, I need help making a circuit to read a type J thermocouple, less than 80mV, and my financial situation keeps me only with damaged devices as a source of components. I have a voltage amplifier with a gain of 2000 at my disposal, but I am not good at electronics and I don't know how to make a voltage amplifier circuit so that my dubious precision multimeter can read it.

Reading a thermocouple accurately is a challenge for those with big budgets, notwithstanding the temperature controller shown by DANKO. The two challenges are the very low voltage generated and the fact that the function is not quite linear. The second problem is that every connection is a thermocouple of some kind.
