Hello, I was given a task at a bet shop close to my apartment.. they've complained of burglars intruding into the shops via the ceiling.. they took a preventive measures by making iron bars cross-coupled to block any entry from the ceiling.. this time around the burglars had to cut the bar.. so someone came with an idea of electrifying the bars and that is where I come in.
I came up with a design. A DC-DC converter 12v - 1000V.. I need an idea of how to connect the the output of my converter to the cross coupled bars.. can I just attach only the positive line to the bars? Will the intruder feel the effect with just one line?
