I don't understand your question and I'm appalled you would think that. I'm fine BTW, thanks for asking. You asked for search terms, and that is what we called them back in the day. It seems like a perfectly normal description of the function of the device and was not in any way intended to be directed at any person. I'm not sure how you can be antagonistic to a thing, but there are lots of things I don't know anything about.

This is the one you want. You can use this with one hand by turning your wrist and pushing the yellow plunger against a hard surface.

What I don't know is how you can hold the iron and suck the solder at the same time.

There is also the possibility of having a desoldering station with a footswitch to activate the suction. In this arrangement the iron tip is hollow, and it is connected to a vacuum pump. Seems like this would be more convenient for you.

I used one of these for years and somewhere around here I still have it. I have used it and cocked it one handed. Grasp the blue tube and just push it against the side of the bench or turn it over using your wrist and push down against the bench or table top. Then came the desoldering stations with button on handle to activate the pump.

I've released my inner OCD on my money, I'm not hurting by any means. I try very hard not to waste it. I don't consider experiences where I learn something a waste. I'm trying to get back into soldered projects.
