Hi.
Looking if replacement parts are available to restore several sash windows, cannot find who sells those parts without knowing the exact name of what am after.
In a seventies home, plain wood sash windows slide vertically in channels, guides, tracks, sliders, slots, grooves, rails... what are they called ?
Made of formed thin almost foil aluminium = A+B+C being one single piece :

Thanks. Nope, those are modern aluminium, not wooden windows.
The part am after is A+B+C is one single piece metal shaped 'foil' guide channels for wood windows.

I could probably make that out of wood. Finding the exact fit you need still for sale will be nearly impossible? I haven't looked.

My sash guides (if that's what you call the slots) are plastic and backed with foam insulation. They have a ridge along each side that fits into the wood frame by squeezing them together a bit and fitting those ridges behind the wood.

And BTW, isn't "A" the frame around the lower pane and not part of the sash guides?

Right, Wayneh !. My poor observation. 'A' meant as the slot twin to 'C' where that green wood frame lodges/rides in.

Some genius drove big nails into the metal guides to prevent/lock sash movement and deformed them. Need replacing about a dozen of those guides of otherwise healthy windows.:(
