Sabertooth 2x10 as Model Railroad Controller?

I'm considering a project where I want to put a G-scale model railroad I own under the control of a PIC microcontroller. Ideally, I'd be using PWM from the PIC to control the speed of the train.

Does anyone know if the Sabertooth 2x10 motor controller would be suitable for this project?

Thanks!

It's more like a one or the other question. The data sheet on the Sabertooth says it can do PWM up to 10 amps. All you need is one of the several control inputs to make it go. So it can probably run your GG train motor just fine. But the PIC will only have to tell the Sabertooth how fast to go and in what direction. No PWM necessary for the PIC.
