Hello

I am attempting to design a power supply for a Raspberry PI3 and have a few questions..
Looking at the attachment provided,

1. I am wondering if I should switch the placement of the MOSFET and the 5V regulator positions?
Will I get a more accurate voltage at the PI having the regulator right at the input versus regulating before the MOSFET switch?
2. I am using a UPS hat with the PI and it is directly connected to the 5V pin of the PI,
Are there any adverse affects when the AC power is lost?
3. Since using an LDO regulator, is 6VAC sufficient?

Muchas gracias

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions!

I've attached another schematic of what I am thinking would work better...
Reasoning is that the RPI is finicky with power and even the small resistance of the FET I'd like to evade..

Thoughts?
