Routing High Speed Signals & Differential pair pins Swapping

Hi everyone,

I am routing high speed signal (SATA) on 8-Layers PCB. SATA does not support pin swapping of a differential pair.
I have to swap the signals on the PCB on a short distance.
John Burkhert in the following blog talks about routing the traces of the USB2 diff pair to be mirror images of one another as shown in figure 3.

Is this technique valid for SATA Gen 3 (6Gbps) from EMI perspective?

fig 3 ,
you have two lots of vias,
you have coupling between two layers,

sounds terrible at 6 Gb/s, depending upon length

Can you rotate the SATA connector 180 degrees ?
