Hello everyone, I am looking for some advice on my senior project. I would like to work on some sort of IoT device where I can design on a trace antenna where I can test the performance and range. I need some suggestions on what exactly I should design vs what I should purchase. Any feedback would be beneficial.

Please help clarify your question.

Is the design focused on making your own PCB antenna?
Are there any parameters that are fixed?
Is "IoT" just a thing that will get you an antenna, of is there some other reason?
