If I have a circuit where L =100 C = 100 and R= 100 and R is grounded how do i know if such circuit is @ resonance, above Resonce, Below resonce, or Inductive?
You need a reference frequency to start with. But if XC=XL then any circuit will resonate but you are including a resistance...XC=XL cancel each other leaving the circuit purely resistive. As long as all components are connected in series with each other, the resonant frequency of the circuit will be unaffected by the resistance. But yours is it is grounded.Still the circuit will not be @ resonace because the resistor will damp the wave.
