Hello! Hoping this isn't a stupid question. I'm new here an to electronics, so please bare with me!
I'm wondering if someone can help me figure out why a resistor is burning out on a circuit board for a sunheat electric fireplace?
The light feature wasn't working (all others were) so I took a look and found the burnt resistor. I replaced it, but it burnt again.
My assumption is that failure of a different component is causing this. I searched high and low online, but honestly don't know where to start.
So, any ideas what is causing this? Is the board beyond repair? And should I quit while I'm ahead (I have limited knowledge so if it's a tricky or hazardous fix, I'm doomed)
Thank you all in advance! It's much appreciated.
