Replacing a micro switch for a portable ice maker.

I have an Edgestar IP210BL portable ice maker and it hasn’t been pulling water and therefore not making ice. After some research today, I discovered that one of the micro switches (see pic attached) is broken. The little black tab that the metal arm is supposed to click, is loose so there is no click when the actuator hits it. What I can’t seem to figure out is either:

1. How to remove/replace the micro switch as it seems the wires are soldered onto the switch, or
2. How to open the micro switch to fix the loose black tab.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you,
Jenni

Just unsolder the wires. Microswitches are standard sizes , easily sourced and pretty cheap. Don't bother trying to repair the switch.

+1 on not repairing the switch.
If it does not 'click' it means the micro switch tab inside has broken, not the black actuator.
Max.
