Is it possible to remove a buzzer from a circuit without any harm or should i replace it with a resistor. It is a small piezo buzzer.
Or is there an easier way to at least make the buzzer a bit quiter becuase it is really loud when it beeps and is annoying.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Hi,

Removing the buzzer will not harm the circuit. It's almost no load as is. Just opening one lead is as good as actually removing it.

You can also make it less annoying by taping something like cotton over the small hole where the annoyance comes out.

As most piezo busser are fairly low current, you could put something like a 1k to 5k pot in the circuit, with the wiper and common (possibly earth) connected to the buzzer to make the volume adjustable.... even though there is DC on the pot (not normally recommended) it should work just fine.
