Project: Pushing button moves rod 1/4 inch about 20 ft away.
Will trigger camera shutter.
For receiver I know I need receiver and battery
I think a solenoid to push. What else. Right now I just need part list.Any info will help.

How much mass has to move that 1/4"? Will there be any resistance other than momentum?

About 3/8 " just momentum. Its a pin that is going to act as a stop.

 

There are a surplus houses online that have solenoids which might do the trick. How much voltage and current will be available at your remote site to drive a solenoid?
