Relay controll

Hi everyone,

I would ask you something. I want to create simple circuit to controll relay with computer. If it is possible, I want to use RJ-45 connector from my home server because there will be more than 5 relay controll deviced. Do you have any idea? Thanks for yours replies and advices and sorry for my english, Im still learning. I hope you understead, what I want.

To answer your question, yes. There are many ways to do this, depending on your budget, schedule, etc. You can also use the USB port, maybe make it easier.

Computers these days don't have a parallel port. You'll need a UBS/parallel converter. I use the FTDI-4232. This will only work for windows, as they don't provide parallel port drivers for Linux.
