I have a question about relay polarity.

I purchased 4 BEULER BU-5084M relays that has a Negative Spike Suppression protection.

My question is: Does polarity matter?

Should pin 85 be grounded and pin 86 +12v ??

I tried looking for the BEULER website could not find one.

Thanks in advance for your help.

If this is a reverse EMF diode across the coil, then it need to be connected with the correct polarity.
Going by the numbers, this is an automotive relay?
You can confirm polarity if you have a meter that has diode testing capability.
Max.

Follow-up Findings:

I got a hold of the Vendor Tech support.

Relay BU-5084M has no diode and polarity does not matter for this specific relay.

Bench tested to confirm.

Thanks for the help.
