I should have been more precise. Do you have a reason to suspect any of the formulas on the page, or do one or more of them just look wrong for some reason.

I would say use it until you have a reason not to use it. I'm retired and I don't have the patience to grind through the analysis. If it makes you feel any better I didn't see anything that jumped out at me as wrong.

Those formulas are not accurate. However I have been using them as a guide as long as I can remember building power supplies. They are just that (guides) and are good enough for most purposes.

Also Hammond transformers are rated conservatively, i.e. the rated voltage is for full load current.
I have found transformers from a certain store R.S. to fall short of the stated specs.

The moral of the story is - not all transformers are built the same.
