Push- Pull from open collectors

I like comparaitors, Both the LM303 and LM339 are cheap.fast and useful.but the open collectors they use can limit their usefulness.I believe I have come up with a circuit that increase their drive

The drive on these comparator is only 18ma max and I have made no effort to control shoot through but the out will now be rail to rail.

Noobie question: Wouldn't a totem pole at the comparator's output work just as well?

Emitter follower have The B-E drop(in this case on both rails.IMO the drive is better. In many cases the emitter follower will work just fine.I begrudge the1.2V You loose with it.

Just add a CD4050 CMOS buffer to get a CMOS push pull output.
You can parallel the 6 inputs and outputs to get more drive capability.

I have another protoboard project in the back of my head and an working toward minimum parts count.I can't build it but I can draw it.
