Right... I had forgotten about that.. I own a Samsung TV that has a mic in its remote... I actually taped it shut, and looked for it in the TV itself and couldn't find it.
My revenge was to not set the IP address to the router in my TV. Poor diddle machine is so lonesome cuz he has nobody to talk to. Wha! Whaaaah!

You can do that??? ... and btw... you're evil ... I like you already... :D
This is not news. You've liked me since you discovered that I know a great deal about antique processor architectures (8051). BTW I like you for your homebrew PCB manufacturing prowess. Your pictures among the most awesome on the forum.

No doubt.
It was reported that once and a while a very high powered station (KJX-****) on CB channel 19 would be heard across the nation in the 70's that originated from near the Bermuda Triangle but that's the stuff of legend.

The NSA can turn on the microphone on your TV, Cell Phone, or computer any time they want to. You car tracks your mileage and direction, even if it doesn't have GPS. That's why I spent today removing the compass function from my car.
and what about the dummies buying an Amazon 'echo' or a Google 'home'. Those things just sit there listening and reporting.

Same approach here. My life is so boring that I am not important enough to bother with.
The fact that my government spends billions per year to watch people like me and you makes my head tend to explode.
What combination of mental illnesses would cause these so-called, "intelligence" people to collect and save every piece of information that can be had?

Probably several. The megalomania of Dr. Strangelove. The paranoia of J.Edgar Hoover. The gullibility of Fox Mulder.
I don't know who to reference for obsessive-compulsive disorder. Probably somebody Trump appointed last week.:D
