hey there , I have a Pacific Scientific PWM3652-5458-3 motor that came from a Precor treadmill . it was running when I pulled the motor but unfortunately I lost the envelope with the wiring diagram. I have called Precor & they can't temm me what the pinouts are for the RJ45 connector in the upper right of one of the pictures . from what I little I have found online that connector marked J5COMM is where the PWM control comes into the motor control board . I'm pretty sure the treadmill mdl was a 9.55 . I know that this is a real stout motor & I would like to install it on my mill , has anyone had any experience with this board or treadmill ? thanks

If you haven't already, you might want to try the search function within these forums. I know that there have been an awful lot of treadmill motor and schematic discussions here over the years, so there's a wealth of knowledge to be had (at least for some models - I don't know about yours specifically.)

Unfortunately, it seems like a lot of the treadmill discussions are from brand new users who come in, get their questions answered, and never come back. Of course there's nothing wrong with that, but it means that a lot of the collective experience on this forum is in people who aren't actively participating.

Unfortunately that is one board I have not found any info on, the popular MC2100 series for this application has quite a bit of info including a reverse-engineered schematic.

I did a search for a Precor treadmill * only got 4 hits . I have been reading treadmill threads for quite some time & I realize there is alot of experience here , that's why I asked here .I called Precor but they couldnt help me , I know that a couple of the threads I read , (been reading thse for acouple of years now ) a guy that was a repair guy chimed in . I have gotten my MC2100 & MC 40 & 60 to work on machines from what I have read here & I thank you folks for that
thanks

ok , then let me ask another question & if this is in the wrong place please move it to the proper place . I'm ok with building a speed controller for my motor if anyone could point me in the direction where I might find a schematic for such a speed controller . I have no problem working with mains power . I am aware of the KBC & other controllers out there , I just don't have the budget
for one at this time my motor specs are 220 VDC 12 Amps 3.2 HP 3400 Watt's it was running on a 120 VAC circuit when I dissembled it
thanks

Is this a North American T.M.?
Odd the motor is 220vdc and its running on 120vac.Although most of the time in a T.M. application it would be running under full power.
It is no mean feat to build a decent controller, I do have the schematic for the KBC Triac version of controller.
Also the MC-60 schematic is around here also.

yea , I was surprised when I saw the motor . I don't know if you were able to see the pictures I attached of the controller board from the treadmill , but it is totally different from any other treadmill controller I've seen . Ive worked with the 2100, mc 60, mc 40
& even a mc 60 with a second board that add's PWM to control the motor speed . the motor is almost twice the size of the average TM motor
thanks

I have a MC 60 that had a second board a ICON 1996 power supply board series PB-121, that is attached to the 60 it has the 8 pin MTA connector with the power , a couple of grounds , PWM , & teh other connections that are on a 2100 . so I can control that motor with just a pot if I want , or if I feel the need I can hook up the extra board & use the PWM input

All the MC-60's I have come across were just descrete logic IC's, no processor like the MC2100.
All they needed was the pot in order to run, not sure how they would use a PWM signal?
Unless it was a PWM to analogue convertor?
