I am not sure if the factory original on these machines use BLDC or 3ph control/commutation, if 3 sensors are used to commutate, then most likely BLDC.

I have an LG washing-machine (not WDM) which has a single-phase direct drive motor, so BLDC. No wiring diagram in the user manual :(.

In response to post #1, relative to "THE GROUNDING PROBLEM", ( which can be a very big challenge), I suggest that a low range ohm meter will be a required tool. AND, if lacking a circuit schematic, starting out by checking each element individually by disconnecting it from the rest of the circuit and doing a resistance check on that element. Certainly the scheme is tedious.

The 'Grounding Problem" has not really been explained ??
You are totally correct, MAX! So I madea reasonable guess and suggested what would be a reasonable course of action. BUT it might actually be just "a flying flap at a Fleeting Fog", or something like that. In addition, since the TS claims no circuit diagram, how can they know that they don't have an intentional "ground"???

The grounding problem is throwing everyone off. These motors do not have a ground in that common sense. The end of three sets of windings are tied together (Washers use star config.) and tucked somewhere. I never seen any of them connect to the chassis. What is the issue you are having with this motor?
