Powering a low-power MCU from battery charger IC

I'm currently building a battery charger and load management system for my Raspberry Pi. For battery charging, I want to use the BQ25890
from TI because of its low leakage current and high current properties. However, I can't seem to find information about the system output load current.

When the load draws only little current (~10μA), will the IC refuse to power it? I've seen such behaviour in power banks where load currents under a specific minimum are disconnected after some time.
The battery has to power a low-power watchdog MCU. If it won't power it, is it better to buy a large coin cell for the watchdog's VCC so that it controls a FET between the charger and the RasPi?

I looked for a long time through the datasheet and found these two values:
IBAT(LOAD) - Battery discharge load current - 15mA (min)
ISYS(LOAD) - System discharge load current - 30mA (min)​

Does somebody coincidentally know what these values mean and whether they have to do something with output load current?
