potential problem (maby?) using a metal panel

Ok, I want to mount some pots onto a metal panel. However, since the pots have metal on them, wouldn't this be a problem? But I've seen metal panels with pots mounted on them so does the metal have to be coated with something, or are the parts of the pots that the metal would be touching just not going to cause a problem? What kind of metal? Probably aluminum.

Unless the metal casing of the pot is connected to one of the three leads, which would be unusual, there will be no problem mounting them on a metal panel or touching each other. Test the conductivity (ohm meter) between the case and each of the leads. Actually, you only need to test one lead, but be sure your meter is set to a high enough range, if you do that.

Ok I figured (i.e. was hoping) that this was the case. Thank you.
