I have a question that I've been meaning to ask for years. When I click on a link in a post......it opens a new tab for me.

But if that link is an AAC link.....it changes to that link, instead of a new tabbed link.

I am not a IT expert. But it seems odd. Maybe it's my browser....FF. I have it set to open links in a new tab......but if it's an AAC link........it changes the current page instead.

I have opened same domain links on other sites and it always gives me new tab.

I have only noticed this on AAC site.

Can anyone with FF(open links in new tab) verify this?

And this post is for curiosity....not action. I post it here for I believe it to be AAC specific.

And I could be wrong about that.

If you look at the html "behind the scenes. You will see the forum sets a target of _blank when inserting an outside link but not an inside link. target="_blank" causes the new tab in most browsers.
