I came across four of these in a box of electronic parts. They are all joined as if straight from the factory, serial nos 645, 648, 651 and 654 (the one pictured).
The main IC/MCU on the back is a 12C5408.Each board is 8.5cm x 3.5cm.

I have searched the interweb for ages over the last 12 months or so and still it turns up nothing.

 

Why not power one up and and connect it to an RS232 port. and send it some data.
