I Need help regarding a IC to be used in counting when it is triggered only once and increment again only after the next trigger is made...
I thought of using 74LS193 but it starts counting when it is triggered once and continues till the counting is completed...

Can anyone suggest an IC or any solution with the same IC in place??

I don't know what you think the 74193 is doing, but it only clocks once per clock signal. However, it is only one digit, I doubt it is what you want.

You can buy LCD counters from McMaster Carr that may fit your needs. I used one to count the temperature cycles on a temperature chamber with no fuss.

Show your schematic. What are you using as a trigger? If it is a switch, they are notorious for creating multiple triggers.
