Photo - This Voltage Divider is not doing what I expected - why?

Your resistors are 18Ω and 33Ω. Although your current draw is only 100mA, it's possible that these two resistors are loading it down and throwing off your readings.

Don't think so. They are 1% parts. Orange Orange Black Black is 330 x 10^0.

Really? Neither part is a standard 1% resistor, but they're both standard 5% values. I was thinking that the last ring was the temperature coefficient marking, but I must admit that the markings seemed strange to me, so you might be right.

Yeah, I've seen that also, starting maybe 10 (?) years ago. (I don't really track these things.) The standard 1% value would be 332 ohms, but the banding clearly is 330. Digi-Key has stock.
