PCB Thermal Calculator

I found PCB thermal calculator from TI website. I just enter the device part number INA3221 and device power dissipation 2 Watt. But the parameter theta jc 0.3 deg/watt which automatically added is not clear to me. I don't understand this.

Also the PCB copper coverage area I am not getting it as shown in the graph for different temperatures. Does it means the PCB power plane area ? Has it to be on the mount side of the component as thermal relief ?


How do we find the power dissipation of the INA3221 ? Is this the power dissipation across the shunt resistor outside the chip ? There are three shunt resistors. How do we include all the three shunt resistor to calculate the power dissipation ?

Or the power dissipation is calculated some other way.
