Dear all,

Could anyone recommend me what kind of PCB prototyping board I can use from RS Components or maybe Farnell that can support the following application:

- 12V and 10A = 120 W

There was no indication of current or voltage rating when I visited their sites.

The kind of PCB prototyping board are something like those stripboard.

Any recommendation is really much appreciated.

Thanks and best regards

You won't find any generic protoboards capable of handling that kind of power.

However, you can reinforce the traces by adding flat copper stock on top of them, or using heavy gauge buss wire (the former is preferable).

Here is an online PCB trace width calculator that you can experiment with:

Note that 1 mil = 0.001 inch, or 1/1000 inch.

a copper clad can and will pass 12v 10amps the trik is provide enough surface so there is no current crowding along the way.
