nerdegutta - here is a link to a site with a bunch of different metal detector circuits, the owner is on another forum and well respected there.I've seen a lot of metal-detector-circuits on the net. Do you think they would work? Of course it's dependent on the assembly...

So when you said in your profile your hobby was "Gold Prospecting" you weren't joking! My main hobby is metal detecting. Generally I just hit local parks and schools, but occasionally I get up into the woods, looking for gold or coins.
I wasn't joking, but perhaps I should update my profile to say "metal detecting", which has evolved since I joined the forum. So when you said in your profile your hobby was "Gold Prospecting" you weren't joking!
For me, my outdoor hobbies are walking (I have access to some of the most beautiful walking land here in the UK - The Lake District, Scottish Highlands, The Peak District, North York Moors) and golf. If it wasn't for work I would probably play 5 times a week like my now retired father-in-law. I'm also a keen footballer (soccer).

Ok now its two.....Count two!
I don't have all the experience of these guys, obviously, and because of that I don't post a whole lot, but as you can see from my profile I'm a teenager.

0.oThere is a smart and very pretty 17 years old girl on another electronics chat forum.
Yes I noticed the change from "gold prospecting" which I initially thought was tongue-in-cheek. I didn't change it, I wouldn't alter someones profile unless there was something which violated the forum rules (vulgarities, something offensive, etc).I wasn't joking, but perhaps I should update my profile to say "metal detecting", which has evolved since I joined the forum.
Edit: It has already been changed! Did you do that for me?
My reaction was much stronger when I was distracted by her avatar. (smilie)0.o *twitch...

I think you need a new avatar, AG.My reaction was much stronger when I was distracted by her avatar. (smilie)
She didn't send me the big photo of her I asked for.
She is too young for me since I am 65 (but .....).
She lives in the country of Georgia which used to be part of Russia.
She likes chatting about microcontrollers.
Her tiny avatar is here:
Yes, you are absolutely correct. Thanks for pointing out where I can get her big photo and thanks for the warning about our impersonator.I 'm pretty sure that avatar image belongs to Selena Gomez, Disney starlet.
So be careful if she/he asks for a live meeting.
Good thing I 'm around to take care of you old guys...![]()
I'm not sure.hi ron.
I have met many very pretty girls and a few plain girls. But what is that thing?
