Hi all,

I want to connect the output of the optocoupler to the control signals (CS+ and CS-) of the power supply to shutdown the power supply by shorting the CS+ and CS-. When current applied to the LED, the output of the optocoupler should be shorted the control signals so that power supply will be shutdown, and when no current applied to the optocoupler then the control signals should be un-shorted. I'm confusing that how to connect the output of the optocoupler to the control signals. So, Can you please provide me such kind of circuit diagram?.

This is the basic opto coupler.
CS+ will be connected to pin3, CS- to pin 4.
A Logic HI will be connected to Pin 1 thru' a current limiting resistor (current limit for the LED), Pin 2 to ground.
or, Pin 1 to + Vcc and 2 to Logic LO thru' the resistor.
When the LED is ON, 3 gets connected to 4.

Maybe a Relay can do the job better.
