Hello again

Ok...I've attached a zip file containing a new transistor model and symbols of the TL071, TL072 and TL074.
The models for the 072 and 074 were made from the TL071. I performed some basic tests like open/closed loop gain.
Obviously, the full specification isn't simulated.

You should be able to just unzip the file, browse to the folder and ope/run the simulation files.

Below is an example of using the different symbols (a "usage" file is in .zip.)

Have fun...;)

@eetech00 Congratulations! You now have a subdirectory on my computer named in your honor! I unloaded the entire zip file into an eetech subdirectory under lib. (I did a few unsuccessfull things with it first but I'll skip all that). New sheet and built a noninverting open loop amplifier with TL071 and tried to run the simulation.

Same as I was getting before your work and for my first attempts with your work. So, I now don't know what to think about this problem. Is it the symbol or is it LTS itself???
Here is the .asc file.

Yes, and that file IS in his eetech subdirectory with the .asy files that call for it. Should it be in another folder?

hi,
Is it now working.?
I have downloaded that zip file that eetext posted, unzipped it on the Desktop and tested two of the asc files, they work OK.

Not his .asc files. The new .asc file I made using his .asy model TL071.asy. Which does not call for a model file.

Hi

Did you simply unzip the file, browse to the unziped folder, open the .asc file, then click run?
Do this test first without moving any files or doing anything else. If this doesn't work something else is wrong..
Then report back..

Ok, I opened the zip file and ran the 1st .asc and

But, just using you TL071.asy it does not call for a model file?

I also ran one of his using his TL071.asy model that doesn't call for an outside model.

But when I used TL071.asy in my drawing it doesn't? Side note: I like the way Eric and EETech use nodes for the remote power supplies. Much neater and something I need to start using!

I noticed that the TL071.asy symbol attributes do not call for a spice model file, but on the schematic is a directive .lib TL07xTI.txt. So I added it to my schematic and tried to simulate and...

Even though it is in the same subdirectory as the .asy model.

I've double and triple checked for typos, spaces, anything I could think of and find no reason why it works on your drawing but not on mine?

The SpiceModel line. That is where I specified the external PSpice model from TI when I used the opamp2.asy file to build my TL071.asy model that worked for a while and then quit.

Place your schematic in the TL07x_Series_Opamps folder.
Then do this on your schematic:
Rht click the ".lib TL07xT1.txt" statement, then browse to the TL07x_Series_Opamps and choose file "TL071xT1.txt".

BINGO! That was the missing piece and probably would have made my frankenstein model work! Thx!
