can anybody explain the working of Gyrator ckt Using Op-Amp741

i have read that article but i was unable to understand .

 

The basic purpose of the gyrator is to simulate the impedance of a inductor. The reason simulation is desireable is that physical inductors with high values of inductance are both large and expensive. Gyrators provide an electronic circuit alternative to these bulky and expensive components. These gyrators do have limitations but these are easily overlooked in favor the advantages they can offer in certain applications.
