Requires permit in Florida, according to this (https://lawcenter.giffords.org/gun-laws/policy-areas/guns-in-public/open-carry/ ):

Five states (California, Florida, Illinois, New York, and South Carolina), as well as the District of Columbia, generally prohibit people from openly carrying handguns in public places. Thirty-one states allow the open carrying of a handgun without any license or permit, although in some cases the gun must be unloaded.

It's a real mish-mash and generally excludes Schools, Govt. Buildings, Churches (except Texas), Rallys, Political gatherings, and Non-Shooting Sporting Events even with an open-carry permit. In TN, for example, you could not wear a holstered sidearm "With the intent to Go Armed"? It was fine if you were going hunting as long it wasn't for Bubba. Glove box or on the seat is OK but under the seat is a "concealed weapon". On the hip, under the arm, in a briefcase is OK but on the ankle, strapped to the thigh, or behind the neck is a "concealed weapon".

Ohio used to be in the list, until the concealed carry guys changed the laws. You would probably be stopped and asked why but if you weren't a prohibited person and it wasn't concealed they couldn't stop you from carrying.

When I was a kid there were no Armadillos north of the St. Marys River on the border between FL and GA. My cousin up in TN says they even have them up there now. Not a big deal as they only dig small holes in the yard looking for ants (except being a carrier for leprosy). But FL can keep the Iguanas this time since they did such a terrible job letting the 'dillas get loose.

No! According to the Florida Wildlife Service. No poisoning! Gotta shoot em (or bash em) in the brain so they don't "suffer". You don't have to do that any other hunted animal... In fact, they would probably arrest you for hunting with a baseball bat or lock you up for being crazy.

A pellet gun is acceptable, but you got to hit them in the head. If you miss, jail.

Deputies said she told investigators they were playing a game of hide-and-seek and they thought it would be funny if Torres got into the suitcase, according to the affidavit.
...
She told deputies they drank alcohol during the night and she passed out in her bed, according to court records.
According to the arrest affidavit, the video shows the suitcase facing downward with Torres pushing on the suitcase in an attempt to get out. The second video showed the suitcase in another position as if had been moved.

Deputies said Boone could be heard laughing in the video and telling Torres to “shut up" as he called her name.

Boone told Torres this was “for everything you’ve done to me,” according to the video.
