If you're going DIY with power electronics, it's good to copy an open-source design that's already gone through several iterations and has had most of the bugs worked out.

It is good that you have plenty of land. As you can see from reading fieldlines.com it helps when you're building a wind turbine.

As the panels are only 275 Wp (12100 Wp in total) and the roof that never has any shade completly full, I only have several options to increase power production.

1) Install additional panels on less than ideal locations.
2) Build and install VAWT (in progress)
3) replace current panels with 375 Wp variants.

I will be going for option 3 as well as soon as I know how to off grid my breaker cabinet.
Option 1 is always an option but less ideal.
