Hello,

I am trying to power all sorts of things with my microcontroller, problem is that it provides little voltage at all the pins (Between 0.4-0.6V). Even when trying to get a transistor to help switch a larger voltage (Larger voltage is at 9V) , its output stays at around 0.8-1.1V. Any ideas to fix this problem?

Microcontrollers generally have very limited current source/sink capacity.

It would help a great deal to at least know that microcontroller you were using.

Did you have a base resistor when connecting the transistor to the IO port? You can directly connect the ULN2803 transistor array chip to the IO to save the trouble.
