NiMH VS PbAC. Which is better for my idea?

My intention is to get a few solar panels on my shed to charge up some batteries. With the voltage, I will use an inverter to change it to 220? I just wanted to ask, for my idea would a Nickel-Metal Hydride or Lead-Acid battery work better. I would like a battery that would (preferably) last long with constant charges and discharge.

P.S If you could recommend me a solar panel that would work with the batteries I would really appreciate it (and maybe the voltage of the battery(ies)

Either battery chemistry will require proper charging to maximize battery life.

I'd go with lead acid. They sell kits consisting of panels, batteries, and charger/connectivity boxes. All that I've seen use lead acid batteries.

Nickel chemistry batteries are more fussy about charging conditions and aren't hard to ruin, metal hydride have pretty lousy instantaneous current draw - cadmium are similar size for size to lead acid for current draw but Ah capacity is somewhere around 1/4 - 1/3 that of metal hydride.

Lithium is probably a contender, but charging conditions aren't trivial - and dangerous if you get it wrong. The weight advantage isn't worth so much in a static installation.

Lead-acid batteries are generally use for this purpose since they have relatively simple, charge requirements, and low cost for a given energy storage requirement.
