Hello -

First off, I'm not even sure if I am in the right place or even what I'm looking for. In my mind there should be a device or method that solves my issue, but I really have no idea what terms to search or what to look for. So, here goes:

I envision a push button, like one of those big red "easy" buttons, but any type of pushable button will do. Pushing the button does 2 things.

First, it turns on a hockey goal light. I bought one a novelty one on Amazon for about $12 that can sit on a desk. It has a standard plug.

Second, I want the button to play a goal horn sound. Every NHL team has a specific goal horn (search Youtube), and I'd want the flexibility to use one team's goal horn one day and then use a different team's goal horn another day. The closest device I could find is called Invitebyvoice. They make little devices that are usually used for putting sounds into greeting cards or stuffed animals. You plug the device into your phone, record the sound from a youtube video, for example, and then pushing the button on the device plays the recorded sound. These devices are battery-operated so I am not sure how and whether it could be coordinated with the push button and goal light.

Again, I'm not even sure if this is the best design/approach and I'm not even sure what to look for. Any help would be much appreciated, even if it is just telling me that there is a specific term that I should search for on google.

Thanks for any insight!

How do you want to turn the goal light off?
Thanks. I hadn't really thought about that and am not sure it really matters. Frankly I'd be fine with just unplugging it. We're going to be using it towards the ends of videos, so turning it off doesn't need to be as instantaneously easy as turning it on in sync with the audio.

Okay.
First you need to determine how to connect to the pushbutton on the sound generator so you can remotely activate it.
I assume that will need to be a momentary signal.
This could all likely be done with one or two small relays.

Does the light have a switch?

Thanks for your help. The light does have a switch. I'll read up on relays.
