I'm trying to get 2 powered devices (Alarm Panel + External Power Supply) on 1 transformer due to available space
I don't know if i should get a bigger power supply or make a simple circuit to control both.
External Power Supply = Output Voltage: 12 V DC @ 2.50 A, 24 V DC @ 2.50 A, 6 V DC @ 2.50 A
Transformer used currently for both devices is 2 of the class 2 alarm transformer specs = Output Voltage 16.5 V AC.. power Rating 20VA

 

If your external psu has the required voltages and current capacity for both, then use it.

after the alarm components are added and the alarm panel goes into alarm it is under a pretty good load that is why there are 2 transformers
