I'm having a hard time trying to find this connector in Mouser or DigiKey. I need this SMD connector or something similar with 6 positions. Can somebody help me out identify this part?

No, not really. The one in the picture is like right angled. The ones you are saying the connector comes from the top.

It says through-hole in description, but you might find what you want if you dig more.

 

It is very hard to tell which series that connector is, measurements would help. But assuming it is a 2.54mm XH series connector, then this is what you need. If it is a different JST series, you just have to go by the pin spacing and count.
