What makes you think a component designator of DS5 would be a FET?

Looks like a 5V dual TVS diode to me.

It would appear so, if you assume the circuit diagram pins correspond to the package (what a crappy datasheet).

 

For USBC protection, which one would you choose?

It is a for an USB_C laptop repair. I think it would be accurate the DESDA5V3L-7 one, don't you ?
