One of the phantom preamp, is a THAT 1510/1512 microphone op amp having same pinout as INA217
The schematic shown figure 5 for phantom, supply is specified or recommended for +/- 15V

Some prefer +/- 18V supply pcb diy available

If your goal is more basic you would eliminate some of the features.
It does not hurt to see the how and why of various components/ audio quality.
The op amp and circuit will either convert impedance and quality or will barely pass.

 

Hi,
I changed the 6.7k resistor in second stage to a potentiometer in series with 1K which has improved the gain.
Coming to The schematic of SSM2019 preamplifier IC given with its datasheet, The circuit has input from a condenser mic(with phantom power of 48v) how can I adapt the circuit for a dynamic microphone? In a single stage will it provide high enough gain?
Is it better than LM4562?.

Hi,
There is noise and hum in the 741 based circuit. Is it mandatory to go for another opamp?.
I could not get the required bypass capacitors of the value required at the power supply, but I am on it.
which filter capacitor values would I require at the input and possibly outputs of the preamp?

How is the preamp powered?
Is the microphone cable shielded?
Hum can come from the power supply or pickup from the microphone cable.

It's not "mandatory",
but it certainly can't help but to improve the performance of the Circuit in every respect.
Any 741 is just plain bad, all the time.

The "Noise and Hum" is likely from
Circuit-Layout, and/or, inadequate-Power-Supply-Filtering, and/or, Input-Shielding.

I am using a power supply based on 7809 and 7909 voltage regulator ic's with 1000uF electrolytic capacitors in parallel.The microphone cable looks to be shielded.

To filter out high frequency noise there are also 47uF capacitors in parallel to the power supply.

Do the two regulators have the recomended capacitors on the in and outputs?
Without these capacitors the regulators may become instable and create noise.

Do You have 100nF Ceramic-Capacitors Bypassing the Chip,
and, attached as closely to the Chip as physically possible ?

Don't bother looking at anything else until the above has been taken care of.

A ~47uF Electrolytic-Capacitor,
placed directly after a ~1000uF Electrolytic-Capacitor,
is a pair of wasted Components.

When You refer to a Capacitor, You should always state what TYPE it is.
Sometimes it's even important to provide a Spec-Sheet for the Capacitor.
Capacitors have particular Specifications,
and are designed for specific types of applications and Frequencies.

I would think this would exceed the tape recorder capability
