Hi im a newbie here. im tryin to find a way to place an IR sensor on both sides of a gate.
lets say this is the gate >>

|°--------°| these are IR transmitter and receiver
| <1meter> |

while the beam is still high at the receiver the LED is ON but if someone crosses the beam the LED is turned off. i tried using IR LED and IR Module but it did not work.

so, im looking for some suggestions. Thanks

 

Can you post the schematic of the circuit that failed to perform as you intended?

I jus did some modification but it will still receive a signal even if i passed by

hgmjr (moderator): I removed the schematic containing the reference to a commercial website and replaced it with an attachment absent the website watermark.

 

Not sure what your asking,
From what you wrote above it sounds like its working, (detecting a person breaking the beam.

Explain what it is supposed to do, then explain what its really doing.

 

i wanna place them at the gate so it counts using 7-segment display derived by a PIC16F84A
