It should be installed per the manufacturers installation guide as well as any applicable electrical codes/standards.

 

If you have to ask, you shouldn't be doing it. Hire a licensed electrician.

Mine is connected to mains via two production Wh meters and an AC disconnect. Then through a dedicated and appropriately sized breaker in the service panel.

Since your question is not specific enough to offer any more specific help I don't know what else to say, but both Bob & mcg are right on!
