Does anyone know any websites/journals/books that can tell me the speed and size limitations of a standered mosfet? Im having trouble geting a straight answer.

 

They are called datasheets and they are published by the manufacturer. At least for speed. You can tell by the numbers there how long it takes to charge the gate capacitance, and how long it takes to remove it. Don't expect high speeds and high drain currents at the same time.

With respect to size I'm more uncertain. If you mean package size and dimensions then the datasheet is the place to look. If you mean the size of the die then I'm at sea.

 

Probably because no one knows what you meant by a standard MOSFET.
