What is the difference between a pic12f635 and a pic12f635-e/p? What is the difference between a pic12f635 and a pic12f635-i/p? Will a pic12f635-e/p or a pic12f635-i/p work in a circuit that calls for a pic12f635? Thank you for your help.

The trailing letters/dashes/numbers are usually package (through-hold or various SMD packages. Or, indicating temperature range - commercial vs industrial vs military ...
Check the datasheet, all sub-species are typically listed.

You cannot order a PIC12F635. This is just the generic name of that family.
You have to specify the full part number, e.g. PIC12F635-I/P or PIC12F635-E/P.
For your concern, the two are identical.
The I stands for industrial temperature range, -40°C to 85°C
The E stands for extended temperature range, -40°C to 125°C

Suffixes do not matter that much. Both serve the same purpose.

From the datasheet, 'i' is industrial temperature range, 'e' is extended temperature range.
Other letters indicate the package, 'p' is DIP.
